GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of fastening of a steering wheel on models without safety cushion

1 – decorative slip
2 – button of a sound signal

Removal


Prevention

On models with the safety airbag during the work about sensors of collision of a steering column and the dashboard for an exception of operation of a safety cushion remove a weight wire from the accumulator and wait at least 1 minute before work.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish forward wheels for the movement directly forward.
2. On models without airbag of safety unscrew screws of fastening and remove the button of a sound signal.
3. On models with the safety airbag, unscrew the bolts fixing the safety airbag block to a steering wheel.
4. Remove a safety cushion.
5. Disconnect electric sockets of a safety cushion and sound signal.
6. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a steering wheel.
7. Note the provision of a nave of a steering wheel in relation to a steering shaft.
8. Disconnect the electric socket of system a cruise control.
9. Using a special stripper, remove a steering wheel from a shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check that combined a tag on a nave of a steering wheel with a tag on the helmsman to a shaft.
