13.6. Cowl

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Open a cowl and support it in this situation.
2. Using a marker, note position of hinges on a cowl.
3. Enclose pure rags under cowl knots to protect a paint and varnish covering of the car at removal of a cowl.
4. Disconnect electric sockets and wires which connect a cowl to a car body.
5. Having the assistant, support a cowl and remove racks of support of a cowl. Unscrew the bolts fixing a cowl to hinges.
6. Remove a cowl from the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence of the return to removal.
2. Level a cowl according to earlier made tags and screw bolts.
3. Adjust the provision of a cowl so that at the closed cowl the gap on perimeter of a cowl was identical from all directions.
4. If adjustment of provision of a shock plate of the lock of a cowl is required, weaken bolts of fastening of a shock plate and move it to required position then tighten fastening bolts.
5. For adjustment of a forward part of a cowl on height it is necessary to screw in or unscrew the rubber pillows located on a forward cross-piece over headlights.
