GENERAL INFORMATION

Schematical image of system of catching of vapors of fuel (EVAP)

This system serves for branch and collecting of vapors of fuel from the fuel tank, the case of a butterfly valve and an inlet collector in a canister with charcoal for reduction of their emission in the atmosphere in the form of hydrocarbons. During the operation of the engine of couple of fuel get from a canister with charcoal, the arriving air and are involved in usual process of combustion.

Unstable operation of the engine idling, bad controllability and problems at a stop of the engine can be a consequence of malfunction of the control valve, damage of a canister with coal, existence of cracks or peeling in hoses, existence of deformation and other damages.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check each of the hoses connected to a canister with charcoal on displacement, existence of cracks and places of leaks on all length of a hose.
2. Check whether there is no leak of fuel from the canister bottom with coal. If there is a leak, replace a canister with coal and check hoses and their fastenings.
3. Check operation of the electromagnetic valve of cleaning. First of all check passing of vacuum from the throttle case to the cleaning valve. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the electromagnetic valve of cleaning and install the manometer on a hose. Increasing engine turns, check that the vacuum shown by the manometer increases.
4. Check resistance of the electromagnetic valve of cleaning which has to make 10–100 Ohms.
