9.3.1. Removal and installation of the driveshaft

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and record on supports.
2. Put with chalk or white paint tags of a relative positioning of different components for ensuring the correct subsequent installation. It is especially important to note an arrangement of a back part of the driveshaft in relation to a flange of the main transfer.
3. Unscrew the bolts and nuts fixing a back part of the driveshaft to a flange of the main transfer.
4. Unscrew bolts of fastening of an arm of the central bearing (are specified by shooters).
5. Lower the driveshaft down and shift it back. At removal of the driveshaft the forward shlitsevy coupling will leave gearing with the conducted transmission shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of the driveshaft grease vents on a forward part of the driveshaft with transmission liquid and, being careful not to damage a sealing ring, install the driveshaft in the transmission.
2. Further installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
