1.9. Automatic transmission

GENERAL INFORMATION

The automatic transmission operated by means of electronics also has four transfers of the forward course and transfer of a backing.

SELECTOR LEVER

The lever of the selector has seven provisions. The button of release has to be pressed at installation of the lever in provisions "P", "R", or "2".

P – Parking. This situation should be established only at a car stop. Driving wheels are blocked in this situation and interfere with movement of the car. It is necessary to tighten also emergency brake. It is forbidden to install the lever in this situation at the movement of the car.

R – Backing. This situation should be established only at the stopped car and the engine idling.

N – Neutral situation. This situation should be established at start of the engine and its work idling.

D – Advance. Usual situation at the movement.

D – Advance. Usual situation at the movement. It is possible to pass from situation D into provisions 3, 2 or 1 at the movement of the car.

3 – The movement of the car happens only on the first three transfers.

2 – The movement only on 1 and 2 transfers. It is used at the movement without trailer on roads with rises or descents in mountains or the movement with a speed up to 40 km/h.

1 – The movement only on 1 transfer. It is used at the movement with strong rises and descents.

HOLD MODE

The HOLD mode is used for the movement on slippery surfaces like snow roads or dirt. When the HOLD switch is pressed while the lever of the selector is in situation "D", "3" or "2", transfer changes to the HOLD mode, and the control lamp of HOLD on a combination of devices lights up. For switching off of the HOLD mode repeatedly press the switch.

POWER MODE


The POWER mode is used for bystry acceleration or when big power is required. When the switch the mode and POWER is pressed while the lever of the selector is in situation "D", "3" or "2", transfer changes to the POWER mode, and the control lamp of POWER on a combination of devices lights up. For switching off of the POWER mode repeatedly press the switch.
