GENERAL INFORMATION

Defects of hoses of the cooling system

Many malfunctions of the engine can be connected with malfunctions of the cooling system. At models with the automatic transmission the cooling system also cools gearbox oil that increases transmission service life.

Carry out check of the cooling system on the cold engine.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover a radiator. For this purpose turn a cover counterclockwise before the first fixing. Wait, residual pressure in the cooling system will not be taken off yet, then press a cover down and in this situation turn counterclockwise and uncover.

2. Check a condition of hoses of the cooling system. Replace hoses with the slightest defects. It is desirable to make replacement of hoses irrespective of their state each two years.

3. Places of leak of cooling liquid are usually identified on a white raid.

4. Wash out or blow an external surface of a radiator.
