11.3.1. Repair of a forward rack

GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of a rack of a forward suspension bracket

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a forward rack from the car and fix in a vice with soft sponges.
2. Using special adaptation, squeeze a spring so that it departed from the top part. When using special device for compression of springs you watch that rounds of a spring were reliably taken and you make compression of a spring from the opposite sides. The spring has very big effort of compression therefore use only very reliable tool. Do not connect a spring by a wire at all.
3. Unscrew the central nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber.
4. Remove the top support of a forward rack.
5. Remove the top nest of a spring from a shock-absorber rod.
6. Remove a spring from a forward rack.
7. Remove the buffer from a shock-absorber rod.
8. Check all elements of a forward rack for wear, damage or deformation. Check smoothness of the course of a rod of the shock-absorber. Check the shock-absorber for tightness, and also its rod on pointed corrosion on all length.
9. Nominate a shock-absorber rod to all length and install on it the rubber buffer.
10. Establish a cylindrical spring so that its lower end correctly settled down in the lower nest of a spring.
11. Establish a protective cover and the top nest of a spring.
12. Establish the top support on a rod of the shock-absorber and fix by a nut, having tightened it the required moment.
13. Install a forward rack on the car.
