Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off pressure in fuel system and a weight wire of the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system of the engine and unscrew spark plugs.
3. Take off a gear belt, pulleys of the camshaft and internal casings of a gear belt. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders and assembly of yokes (the l engine 1,8 and 2,2) or camshafts (the engine of 2,5 l).
4. Disconnect exhaust pipes from heads of the block of cylinders.
5. Remove an inlet collector.
6. Unscrew forward support of the engine and, using a jack, through a board lift the engine.
7. On the left side of the engine unscrew a pipe of system of repeated combustion of exhaust gases.
8. Working in the sequence, return shown on rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, weaken bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders on 1/3 turns for each pass before full unscrewing of bolts.
9. Remove a head of the block of cylinders.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders have to be absolutely pure. For their cleaning use a firm plastic or wooden scraper. When cleaning be careful as it is very easy to damage aluminum alloy.
2. Check that the deposit did not get to oil and water canals. It is especially important for the lubrication system as the deposit can block supply of oil to engine components.
3. If necessary clear channels, check the interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders for existence of notches, deep scratches and other damages.
4. Clear openings under bolts in the block of cylinders. Screwing up of a bolt in the opening filled with oil can break off the block because of hydraulic pressure.
5. Install new laying of a head of the block of cylinders on adjusting pins in the block of cylinders.
6. Install a head on the block of cylinders of the engine.
7. Grease a carving of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders with a thin layer of engine oil.
8. Establish bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and tighten them the required moment in several stages in the sequence presented on rice. 9. Further installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
