9.4.2. Back power shaft (models 4WD)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Weaken a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave of a back wheel.
2. Lift a back part of the car and remove a back wheel.
3. Remove the ABS sensor and disconnect a cable of the emergency brake from a back brake board.
4. Unscrew bolts, the fixing levers of a back suspension bracket to the nave fastener.
5. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
6. Take away a nave from the car and take the external end of a power shaft from a nave.
7. If the power shaft densely sits in a nave, temporarily screw a nut of a nave and, using the hammer, beat out a power shaft from a nave, at the same time tightening a car wheel outside.
8. On early models by means of the corresponding drift beat out a cylindrical pin, the fixing power shaft to the main transfer.
9. Using mount, remove back driving in bulk from the main transfer.
10. On later models insert between the internal CV JOINT and the main transfer mount and, at that time when the assistant pulls a power shaft outside, strong sharp blow to the end of mount beat out a power shaft from gearing in a semi-axial gear wheel of differential.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
2. Grease shaft grooves with lubricant on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide. For fastening of a power shaft to the main transfer use new pins.
3. Tighten all nuts and bolts the required moment. Replace a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
