14.1.20. Screen wiper engine
GENERAL INFORMATION

If brushes of a screen wiper work with interruptions or is insufficiently effective, check a condition of a safety lock in a screen wiper engine chain.

If the safety lock is serviceable, connect the closing wire between the engine of a screen wiper and mass of the car and repeatedly check operation of the engine of a screen wiper.

If now the engine of a screen wiper works normally, restore connection of the engine with the mass of the car.

 If the engine still does not work, check giving of tension to the screen wiper engine.

If tension moves to the engine, and the engine does not work, remove the engine of a screen wiper and, using additional wires, connect it to the accumulator.

If the engine works now, check a condition of the electric socket. If the engine still does not work, replace it.

WINDSHIELD SCREEN WIPER ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove levers of a screen wiper and a lattice of an air inlet. Disconnect the electric socket from the screen wiper engine.
3. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the engine of a screen wiper.
4. Put forward the engine of a screen wiper and disconnect draft from the engine. If the engine of a screen wiper is subject to replacement, unscrew a nut, the fixing thirst of a screen wiper for an engine shaft.
5. If the engine is repeatedly installed, disconnect other end of draft of a screen wiper from the screen wiper lever. Take the screen wiper engine from the car.
6. Unscrew 6 nuts.
7. Plum of the party take drafts of a screen wiper.
8. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew a nut and remove the screen wiper lever.
2. Remove a protective head and unscrew a nut of fastening of a spindle of the engine.
3. Open a back door, remove an upholstery of a back door and remove a protective film from a door.
4. Disconnect the electric socket, unscrew bolts of fastening and take the screen wiper engine from a back door.
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
