8.2.3. Diagnostics of leak of operational liquids


The majority of leaks is defined visually, and repair usually consists in replacement of sealing rings or laying. In case of difficulties with detection of the place of leak use the following reception:

1. Define liquid type. Make sure that it is transmission liquid, but not engine oil or brake fluid (transmission liquid has dark red color).
2. Try to define the place of leak. Make a control trip, and then enclose the big sheet of paper under the car. In 1–2 minutes it is possible to determine the place of leak by liquid drops on paper.
3. Carry out a careful visual inspection of a suspicious detail and surfaces around it. Pay attention to laying.
4. If leak is still not found, carefully clear the suspected surface by means of solvent and dry up it.
5. Make a control trip on the car, and after a trip double-check a detail.
6. After definition of the place of leak it is necessary to define its reason. If laying is replaced, but the sealing flange is deformed, then new laying will not stop leak. It is necessary to level a flange.

Leaks in laying

1. Periodically check the pallet. Make sure that all bolts on the place and are tightened, laying of good shape, and the pallet equal.
2. If laying of the pallet proceeds, then can be, too high level of liquid or its pressure, the ventilation opening is polluted, pallet bolts are not tightened, the sealing flange of the pallet and the condensing transmission case surface is deformed, laying or a case of the transmission is damaged can have cracks or a time.

Leakages of sealing rings

1. Too high level of liquid and its pressure can be the cause of course of sealing rings of the transmission, the air vent is polluted, the nest for a sealing ring or a sealing ring is damaged.
2. Check that consolidation of a tube of the masloizmeritelny probe is in good shape and the tube is established correctly. Periodically check a surface about a speedometer drive gear wheel. If leak of transmission liquid is noticed, check whether the sealing ring is damaged.

Leaks in a case

If on the case there are leaks, then the case can have a time and it needs to be repaired or replaced.
