GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of a condition of a diaphragm spring of the leading knot of coupling

The sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling to a flywheel

Prevention

The dust which is formed during the work of coupling and besieged on its details may contain asbestos, unhealthy. Do not blow dust compressed air and do not inhale it. For removal of dust do not use solvents on the basis of gasoline. For removal of dirt use a cleaner for the brake system.

Removal

Usually access to a clutch plate is provided after removal of the transmission. At the same time the engine remains in the car. If the engine is removed for capital repairs, always use this opportunity for check of coupling on wear and, if necessary, replace it.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On the hummock drive of coupling disconnect a coupling cable from a coupling switching off fork. On the hydraulic drive of coupling remove the working cylinder of coupling, without disconnecting from it a hydraulic hose and, using a soft wire, suspend the working cylinder of coupling in a motor compartment.
2. Remove the transmission. At the same time the fork of switching off of coupling and the release bearing remain in a coupling case.
3. Attentively check a flywheel and press a disk for existence of tags (are specified by an arrow), and at their absence put them.
4. Using the screw-driver, record a gear wreath of a flywheel from a provorachivaniye. Gradually in the diagonal sequence weaken bolts (are specified by shooters) the leading knot of coupling, turning each bolt on a half of a turn until it is terminated springs and bolts can be unscrewed manually.
5. When unscrewing bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling use a special mandrel for support of the leading part of coupling and a clutch plate.

Check

Usually, when there is a malfunction of coupling, it is connected with wear of a clutch plate. However at this time it is necessary to check all details of coupling.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a flywheel for existence of cracks, an overheat, scratches and other damages. If damages small, pierce a working surface of a flywheel.
2. Check a condition of the bearing located in a back end face of a bent shaft.
3. Check a condition of overlays of a clutch plate. Slips have to act on 1,6 mm over heads of rivets.
4. Check a clutch plate for weakening of rivets, deformation, the broken springs, cracks and other obvious damages (points of check of a condition of a clutch plate are specified by shooters). Usually the clutch plate is replaced at the first opportunity therefore if there are doubts in its state, replace it new.
5. Together with a clutch plate it is desirable to replace the release bearing.
6. Check a condition of a working surface of a press disk.
7. Check petals of a diaphragm spring. If the working surface of a press disk has flutes, scratches or damages, replace press a disk. If the diaphragm spring is worn-out or damaged or there is a suspicion that elasticity of a spring changed, then it is necessary to replace knot of a drive plate (see rice. Check of a condition of a diaphragm spring of the leading knot of coupling).

Installation

Before installation carefully wipe working surfaces of a flywheel and a press disk. It is important that on these surfaces and on overlays of a clutch plate there was no oil and lubricant.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a clutch plate and press a disk on a flywheel and by hand in the diagonal sequence screw bolts of fastening of a press disk.
2. Center a clutch plate, having inserted a mandrel through a clutch plate into the bearing in an end face of a bent shaft. Gradually and in the sequence shown on rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling to a flywheel tighten bolts of fastening of the leading part of coupling to a flywheel.
3. Apply a thin film of high-temperature lubricant on the surfaces of friction of the release bearing and working surfaces of a fork of switching off of coupling.
