1. Clear a bent shaft, using the corresponding solvent, and drain it compressed air. |
2. Check radical and conrod necks of a bent shaft for wear, corrosion and cracks. |
3. Wear of a conrod neck is characterized by metal knocks during the operation of the engine, especially under loading on small turns, and reduction of pressure of oil. |
4. Wear of radical necks of a bent shaft is characterized by strong vibration of the engine and the metal knock increasing at increase in turns of the engine and also reduction of pressure of oil. |
5. Check necks of a bent shaft for a roughness. Any noticeable roughness specifies that the bent shaft needs to be pereshlifovat or replaced. |
6. If the bent shaft was перешлифован, check agnails around openings for lubricant. In the presence of agnails remove them with a small file or a shaber. |
7. Carefully clear openings and channels of shaving. |
8. Using a micrometer, measure diameter of radical and conrod necks of a bent shaft and compare results with technical requirements. You perform measurement of necks in several points both on diameter, and on neck length that will allow to reveal ovality and conicity if it is present. |
9. Check the surfaces of contact of oil consolidation on each end of a bent shaft for wear and other damages. If wear of a neck of a bent shaft too big, then, perhaps, is required replacement of a bent shaft. |
