3.16.24. Installation of pistons

GENERAL INFORMATION

The correct arrangement of pistons before installation of internal lock rings of a piston finger

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the engine on a workbench in the same situation as it is also in the car.
2. Establish new lock rings of a piston finger in an internal flute of a piston finger of each piston (see rice. The correct arrangement of pistons before installation of internal lock rings of a piston finger).
3. Check that locks of piston rings are correctly located on the piston. Grease a skirt of the piston and piston rings with pure engine oil. Using the device for compression of piston rings, squeeze piston rings on the piston of the first cylinder.
4. Turn a bent shaft of the engine so that rods of the first and second cylinders were established in the lower dead point. Establish the top heads of rods precisely on the center of the cylinder.
5. Insert the piston with adaptation squeezing rings into the top part of the first cylinder. At the same time the inscription UP or TOP has to be directed up.
6. Using wooden whetstone or the handle of the hammer, press the piston into the cylinder.
7. Move the piston until the opening in the piston under a piston finger is not combined with an opening in the top head of a rod. Openings under a piston finger are visible through a technological opening in the block of cylinders. If necessary, using a core of the corresponding diameter, level openings under a piston finger.
8. Oil a piston finger pure engine and install it through a technological opening in the piston and a rod.
9. Install an external lock ring of a piston finger in the piston.
10. Similarly install the piston of the second cylinder. Apply a thin film of sealant on laying of a technological stopper and install laying and traffic jams in the block of cylinders.
11. Turn a bent shaft of the engine so that rods of the third and fourth cylinders were established in the lower dead point.
12. Repeat operation on installation of pistons and piston fingers of the third and fourth cylinders.
